Corydon, Indiana's first State Capitol
In 1813 the territorial capitol of Indiana was moved to Corydon in southern Indiana. In 1825, nine years after statehood was achieved, the state capitol was moved to Indianapolis which has more central location. The Capitol Building is a museum, open to the public.
