Lake Erie Lighthouses
Visitors travelling along the Lake Erie shoreline will find a unique variety of lighthouses along the southern coast. Pictured from west to east are some of the historic lighthouses in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.

Bottom row: Presque Isle, Barcelona, Dunkirk and Buffalo

Boston, Massachusetts, USA
Boston's tallest building rises dramatically above the older landmarks of the Back Bay section. Tha 60-storey John Hancock Building is at the centre. The Hatch Shell, summer home of the Boston Pops Orchestra, may be seen among the trees of Esplanade.

Sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski's (1908-1982) Crazy Horse scale model shows how the 563 foot high mountain carving will look; beautiful Indian Museum of North America; sculptor's unusual log studio-home; Korczak's mahogany "Fighting Stallions" and marble "Pederwski".

The world's largest stone circle, mystical Avebury stands at the centre of a vast prehistoric landsvape which is now designated a World Heritage Site.

An Ocean Village in Southampton, one of Britain's principal ports, there are moorings for pleasure craft as well as a Heritage Centre recording the city's maritime history.

Otepaa Nature Park, Valga County
Lake Puhajarv is the largest (286 ha) and the most picturesque of all lakes of the Otepaa Upland. It has scenic jagged shoreline and five islands covered with forests.

Minerva Terrace with its colourful variety of delicately crusted pools and runoffs is one of the major terrace attractions at Mammoth Hot Springs of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. Dictated by the different water temperatures, the algae that thrive there give the terraces their colour.
