Monument to Jesus Christ, the Redeemer. Built on the top of Corcovado rock, at the height of 710 meters. Projected by the Brazilian engineer Heitor Silva Costa, it took 5 years to constructed and was consecrated at October 12th of 1931. Total height of the monument: 38 meters, height of the Christ statue: 30 meters; distance between both extremities of the hands: 28 meters.
