Sipadan Island is renowned for its spectacular diving amongst unspoilt coral reefs, with a 600 m (2000 ft) vertical drop-off just near the beach, and numerous turtles frequenting its clear waters. Sipadan lies off the south-eastern coast off Sabah, and is Malaysia's only true oceanic island.
